But TBH, I'm very conservative in product. Won't do fancy animation unless designer requires so. It's so easy to block ux with animation. In real product, I prefer smooth animation than fancy one: https://uxdesign.cc/the-ultimate-guide-to-proper-use-of-animation-in-ux-10bd98614fa9 . And for me, I pretty like a simple dropdown icon change animation⬇️(Now I think it rotates too much, would reduce it in my next implementation). Instead of switching between two different icons, change the attributes of the same element to achieve the status switching. It's easy and would add up little fun & better ux :)
OffscreenCanvas can be very helpful to create complex animation with canvas as well as improve performance :)
