Based on my experiences a part of average users were/are here for instant monetization which seemed easily accessible at the top of the Bonsai mania. I mean you didn't have to build up an instagram profile with 50-100k followers to monetize your content and gain some money. Now the situation has changed a bit and it's not that simple. Some people might even be dissapointed. And maybe many of them will leave. Why? Because they're simgular entities without deeper connections. Because they don't have a wide network here. They can leave without consequences, just like they can leave any other tier2 web2 app. They couldn't do the same with Facebook or Instagram. Why? Because that's where their friends are. The simplest solution would be a network effect spiral, for which Facebook is the best example. One university > several universities > a small part of the mainstream > the world. Substitute "universities" with "crypto communities." That's why I say we need to win within the crypto space first, to eventually reach the mainstream. There are steps we cannot skip. Answering the question: an average user needs their friends and acquaintances to be here, nothing else.
