If the apps don't have a user base there probably isn't something that drives the users there? Showing whole graph might be the same thing as renting a par

- Correct, displaying the entire graph is not a permanent solution.
However, many teams might not have funding or marketing support or budget. A shared social graph helps to solve the cold start problem for new apps.
Consider a scenario where a hackathon app has just launched, and none of the Lens team members or active Lens creators have posted about it, and the app is not showing the entire graph on the feed, but only content published on their app, which could be very limited.
In such a case, when a new user explores that app, they might encounter what looks like a ghost town in the beginning. It will be hard to have a healthy retention rate for the app.
Of course, this is applicable if their concept aligns with displaying the entire graph. Otherwise, it would be pointless to see unrelated content types in concept-specific apps.
