staking sounds interesting (and could be gamified … :-)) Like imagine I can add to eg @lens/eduardmsmr stake (signaling my high confidence in his content quality) and participate in his staking rewards.

While interesting and with potential, this can backfire in multiple ways. Suppressing real interactions to eliminate spam is too high of a cost. Level of real discourse suppression vs anti-spam effectiveness should of course be measured, but my intuition says it will not be a good ratio. Maybe creator opt-in could work? Then, creators would themselves decide if they want lower engagement in return of less spam on selected posts.
