Thats the thing. Clear fees are visible and you can calculate with them from the beginning. Retro active funding isn't clear and is a huge chunk just in one time. It will look like its way more, instead of the constant fees. Also fees are better to calculate on in the future. Its like a subscription coming every time to you. And fees could also be used to supercharge your experience by offering premium features. Endless opportunities and ways.
