The pricing was an auction in which the handle started from a specific amount in $TON and gradually (daily) decreased until it reached a certain minimal amount. You can bid on the handle at any time. Once a bid is placed, the auction starts and continues for a week.
Usually, short English dictionary words and popular English personal names are the most expensive handles.
