Interesting how many folks used MoonPay to on-board. What was the magical moment in OpenSea that turned your head?

- well, Moonpay is not surprising in my case. it was simply the only option. the WWF was running an NFT campaign to raise funds to protect endangered animals. they were actually addressing newbies.
there were 10 (I think) different NFTs with various supplies (depending on how many animals of this kind still exist on the planet) and price points. they were not really cheap, from $99-499 USDC, iirc. and yes, USDC (never heard of. actually, I thought it was USD and they simply added a C by mistake), so they had a fixed price.
it was on Polygon (never heard of as well) and advertised it as an eco-friendly chain. they provided a tutorial which included setting up Metamask and buying with credit card on Moonpay. so you didn't need any tokens.
the magical aspect of connecting to OpenSea was that I didn't know the site, never been there, didn't have an account, but my NFT was there. that's not what you expect when dealing with web2.
and it also reminded me of OpenID which I was interested in in the late 2000s. one login for all sites.
btw, that's my first NFT: https://opensea.io/assets/matic/0x7ee2c4a5cab5b0d6fdf4c55177b0a8bf99054485/8
