DigitalOcean seems to be super dev friendly, everyone is still using instead AWS or Google Cloud. What am I missing?

I've had a great experience using DigitalOcean as a novice dev to spin up a remote hosted validator node for the Chainflip testnet
Nice
Livepeer doesn't run that many actual VMs 'cause we need bare metal servers or we'd be losing five figures a month on data egress fees. So our GCP is mostly for other cloud services like databases and DNS, where I think they're a little more full-featured. I like DO though, running my https://iame.li/ Mastodon instance on there at the moment
Do you know of the existence of Internet Computer (DFinity) and Fleek? I believe those are introducing a very powerfull alternative and they are Wdb3-focused.
I think they are used to the easy way out. Choose the big one without analyzing the rest of market. I don't know if there is any difference about the cost ?
