For server logs/errors you could just write structured logs with a solution like <https://www.npmjs.com/package/winston> and then have separate harvesting processese that collect the logs and report them. Depending on the 'transport' chosen this has minimal impact on the process running the actual business logic and shifts the load to the harvesting processes.
