All we see is light. It is split across a spectrum of colors, that are tints of that light. Our eyes take in this information, and our brains interpret it as colors with names. People who are colorblind cannot perceive usually 2 colors on the full spectrum. There are colors we cannot see with the naked eye, but can be measured and made visible through color filters, glass, scientific methods, etc.
