i like this idea to charge a small fee for creating a club. def would reduce spam and not serious enough clubs and will also add a small source of revenue

I like it too @lens/nilesh
@lens/jessyjeanne is right: iirc, there is a small fee on Warpcast (like ENS) to register/maintain a channel. On the other hand, it might deter normies who are used to free socials, like subReditoooors. No clear right answer! One thing that could be cool to lean into Lens’s more crypto native functions is to explore shared rewards among club members. Like, maybe members collect that club’s NFT to share collect / referral fees? Then the club upkeep is defrayed among that microcommunity too to be nearly costless if spread out enough. You could even imagine management of the club to be governed like a mini-dao voting on a club council to mitigate club squatting. I think it’s good to avoid the impression of copying Warpcast and to differentiate what’s possible on Lens (Web 2.5 vs. 3; skeuomorphic vs. native)
That makes sense to me :)
I paid 25 dollars to create mine on farcaster
