I was running a refurbished Thinkpad for 8 years, upgraded to the max and running arch Linux which survived all kinds of abuse. now working on a Macbook Pro which is really the peak hardware experience I have ever owned. tbh I'd throw away macos any day and would run Linux on an apple device but a man can dream.
Lots of devs using MACs.
My partner is using M1 pro
Apple Computer
as a chrono-spatial explorer, i would recommend laptops with high processing power for programming.
Macs are really good
I think MAC is best choice.
