Post by @nilesh • Hey
what are the biggest problems/issues you're facing w/ @lens/orb rn?
Comments
- It’s not necessarily a big issue, but it is something that annoys me - whenever a video is played, it continues playing until I reach another one on my feed
For example, if this post were a video, it would start playing automatically and keep going even though I am no longer looking at that post, for some time or until I reach another video
This is not happening every time, but most of the time🌹
- That we can’t rewind or fast forward when watching videos.
Basically no control over the time position of a video.
- Took me a bit to get used to clubs and finding new ones to join. It’s like I couldn’t find the search bar for it.
I’m looking forward to future developments.
I think it has exponential potential.
- It's too good and I can't get off
- gm Nilesh - i found that my friends cant yet search for me, maybe takes a while for new-ish profiles to appear in search?
Love orb
🤙✨
- Not really a problem, but I feel having the possibility to mute a channel would be great. I find myself visiting each club just to remove the new message indication on the Home Screen 😅
- I think the biggest barrier to adoption is just the barrier to understanding wallets and an economic layer on their social interactions. Which is odd because IRL they deal with this daily. their online experience however has been optimised towards giving control over their data which I think will take time to unlearn. In terms of UI/UX on orb. Minting presets would save users time. dark mode pretty please as the white background on posts is melting my retinas. I’m sure I could think of more but I’m outta time
- For me: Filtering Content to See (Club or Feed)
I think people only post mainly on Orb or Bonsai Club regardless of type of content?
Also been seeing some user comments who feel that content is “oversaturated” and it’s always the same people they see.
If there’s nothing new to see, it might deter users to stay.
- When someone quotes a post, it’s unclear whether the collect is for the original post or the one quoting the original.
Take this post for example: https://orb.club/p/0x5881-0x0af4
- Audio uploads don't work for me. Trying to use .wav
- Nobody mints art or collects it
No reach
Nothing good for me
Not fair allocation content creators
- I think the app is good. The only thing for now is that I have tried to upload the audio in WAV format, and it takes too long and never uploads. I thought it might be my internet, but I upload WAVs daily to my Beat Store, and it uploads in a reasonable time.
A suggestion would be to show the percentage of progress while uploading, so that we know whether to wait or stop the uploading process.
