Interesting, what do you all think?

- I agree it’s not sustainable. So long as a buy button exists the feed is always going to be a shilly. I think lens could benefit from a filter that eliminates collectible posts from the feed so you can interact accordingly…possibly reward users who post non collectible posts as well.
Also ability to view all posts, posts from people you follow, and curated posts in chronological order feels more decentralized then whatever is happening now.
- we need more variation in content, it will be good to have a PR team to attract all kind of content creators to the protocol
- I believe the model of fresh content over decent content should change. Some people want to put in time and dedication into creating something and sharing it with people. But if it's treated same way as AI generated content that takes few seconds to create motivation drops. Bonsai is amazing, but it must help drive diversity of the content and people. Financial gain is extremely powerful motivator, we just need to find a way to motivate healthier behaviours.
- I think we've been trending from a social space for clever frens to a street market for active hustlers. It been great seeing all the new artists arrive but practically everyone has something to sell me now. And if we're not buying, then "Lens Sucks!"
Is the success of a web3 social media protocol how much revenue you generate for users or the quality of the content that generates that revenue? Growing pains indeed.
- I can understand this trend partly due to the intended guidance of Lens official, to bring in new users into the ecosystem in the early stage, to build a creator economy. Visual art tells more than words and captures user attention in this era. It's a process that protocol growth needs to go through. After a stage of user accumulation, we need to focus more on some valuable threads or analysis.
- I agree with it
I'm fed up with AI generated content
- Depends on the app I think. Lens it's just a social graph and format of content which you will see more frequently depends on apps and algo in it. So Orb more for artists, Tape for video, something new or updated old may be for conversation ultimately.
- I'm afraid I agree. We need more informative content for the Twitter-like clients and clients that focus on other sorts of content to fulfil Lens's true potential
- agree somewhat. speaking as an orb-only user, i’d like to see orb reduce the visual prominence of the collect button (color and size) and improve the UI/UX around replying and threaded replies in comments. orb lends itself to tumblr-esque media sharing which isn’t bad,
but a little nudge towards conversations might help.
- People use Lens primarily for content creation, not socializing. I think apps need to target different user personas to increase active and diverse user bases on Lens. We are preparing to onboard crypto KOLs and their audience to @lens/kaira and I would love to hear feedback on this approach.
- No idea about the $BONSAI but on the community side there are lots of ways to add interaction like buttons to ping others for a few tokens to drop elements of the scenery for example, a system of plots on the background of a friend's wall to add a touch of super follower or other, and still lots of things that have just been thought up I'm sure you'll find something to animate lens even if I'll always be there in some way or another.
