I believe we should support students' right to peacefully protest humanitarian crises, as they have done throughout our history. We have a moral obligation

- ✊ Peaceful student protest is usually a moral barometer for the rest of us.
Surprised but not surprised to see some of the responses to the passionate outpouring of youth around the globe.
- I’m so proud to be Gen Z. These protestors are putting a lot on the line. They are fighting to preserve our first amendment rights here in this country, which only seem to matter when they aren’t anti war.
Our leaders have this crazy Cold War mentality and are very disconnected from the populace.
- I love you
- Just mirrored this post.
- Dear Paris,
I agree with you that peaceful protests should be allowed as they are the backbone of our democracy.
But I would like to point out that it is not a peaceful protest when Jewish students are prevented from entering a university, or even worse are beaten unconscious by an angry mob.
It is not a peaceful protest when students shout for "Global Intifida" while holding up a Hezbollah flags, knowing full well that intifada means terrorist attacks on innocent civilians.
How can the number of casualties be credible if it is Hamas that publishes these figures?
How can we talk about children when Hamas even recruits teenagers as soldiers?
Yes, we have a moral obligation to speak out. And that is exactly why we must fight those who refuse any morality, namely Hamas and the other proxies of Iran. we are talking about the same regime that is killing our women in Iran just because they refuse to cover their hair. The same regime that kills homosexuals and critics. I know for a fact that my people stand with Israel.
The real crisis happened on October 7th when peaceful and innocent people were murdered in their homes. And most of the Arab world celebrated this event. They distributed sweets on the streets and celebrated this massacre. Is that still human?
This war was forced on Israel, just like all the other wars Israel has been involved in since its foundation. These are facts. How else should they have reacted? Hamas dictates the way this war is fought while its leaders sit in 5 star hotels in Qatar. If Hamas surrenders, the war would be over.
If you study the history of the Jewish people, you will realize why Israel should have the right to exist and why we should stand with them instead of supporting terrorist or delusional students who are fighting against the exact same system that allows them to protest.
