What’s the best way to kickstart a secondary market for lens content?
Comments
- it’s tough because do we want more degens here and everything that comes with them? the farming, the scams, rugging, etc? it could get annoying quick. however, if secondary sales were possible/integrated into what already exists with ease then it gives a way for people to make offers at least. ie if @lens/orb had a collected tab on profiles that was very clean layout of images curatable by the owner and action could be taken within 2 clicks. but @lens/ornaart is off to a great start, i just don’t see anyone going after pieces with conviction yet that they missed out on, anywhere, then posting about their acquisition, etc. @lens/princetiwari and @lens/horticulture have done very well with collecting and then advertising their initial collects to help showcase the artists’ work they’re proud of but no one here is outdoing them lol 🙏unless more dark horses emerge…
- Well first have to make sure artist get royalties for such and the only way to do that is make sure via a wrapping system they can get it. Since contracts aren’t creator owned
- Not quite sure but a feature that would definitely help is to be able of burning remaining editions, scarcity and secondary market are lowkey inherent. Also a portal to easily access to the artist available work on secondary would help too, preferably within the most popular apps like orb or hey.
And lastly, artists should keep in mind the editions and pricing settings to leave a realistic margin that encourages second market
- Help @lens/lensport finish V2.
- There should not be one. You don’t collect on lens to make money later. You collect things that are meaningful.
- select a niche(nft/image maybe), collaborate with NFT market like Dew/Magic eden
- Make an app that uses collects.
