I think it's a reflection on Hollywood's standards on female pop stars and how exhausting it is for these women in the limelight to be constantly scrutinized for their behavior, fashion, body and their relationships (...) only to be eventually replaced once they are no longer the It girls. 'Clara Bow' feels like it's Taylor Swift's other persona - the it girl who was eventually replaced by the fickleness of fame. It's a reoccurring theme that she struggles with - fading from the spotlight. However, the ending when she sang her name felt so wistfully empowering and hopeful. It seems she has negotiated and somewhat resolved the internal struggles? She has made a name for herself (rightfully so) and her singing her name out cements it for her. "You look like Taylor Swift In this light, we're lovin' it You've got edge, she never did The future's bright, dazzling"
Everything @lens/nicothyun said Its the idea that we love to build these women up, just so that we can tare them down with rumours and judegments. In doing so we also signal to other women to be mindful of not getting to big, to bright or they will suffer the same fate
