We can ship Open Actions in Lens, yes, but we always depend on clients. I can build some cool stuff but will need to wait for Orb, Hey or Phaver to integra

Bro just start building and always reach out! Things are happening sooner than you think and lens maxis like orb and hey are not looking create walled gardens or copy-paste but to innovate. Eg everything that @lens/paulburke has built is super interesting and definitely not in anyone's (who is lens maxi) interest to disregard. But there is always dependence, that's just the fact of life. Orb and hey I consider to be products that are built together with the community and for the community. If you have a good idea just ping us and we can make sure to streamline things to production. Heck I even give you grants to get more people working on cool stuff
Yeah, and many of the larger apps have shown zero interest in building with open actions, at all. I guess this should be expected from closed source apps. Perhaps it’s time for a new open Lens app that focuses on features, not fees.
I think what open actions really allow and expand is basically intro for ideas for apps with different use cases. There’s no need for all apps to have feature parity
For Phaver FC Frames are the prio right now as there’s still the chicken & egg issue with OA where there is not enough demand to support it but without support will not create good use cases 🤷🏼♂️
Yes, this is the main problem. Would be great to find a way to standardize this on the frontend side to do the process easier.
Right and if you consider real estate. How many buttons can you fit on a post, on an app, in a menu. If development gets easier maybe... But we need another layer of Abstraction still so we don't have to worry about cross chain and things like that.
