The only thing is this isn’t sustainable for music long term play IMO. You accumulate streams over time whereas the lifecycle of a mint is shorter. So it can be a nice boost but the metric doesn’t equate to a song that grows overtime getting playlists adds, etc. That can go from 50k to 5 million etc and leading to touring merch sales etc because of visibility. It would be cool to either help those mints have longer eyeballs so more people collecting overtime, or focus on demos (where Lens is a space of sharing and experimentation for musicians and the collects help to support further development (like mix + master) or other costs associated with the release PR/Playlisting etc. Quality is so important for discovery and user experience, but maybe we are in early internet or YouTube era where you post anything? Just some thoughts I have. Especially as I have 8 demos from my own project ready but not sure best ways to use web3 to fully realize them sonically or to release them in a way that would really look disruptive to my more traditional strategies from previous projects.

It’s definitely the right approach, but keep in mind when people tip each other in a currency they’re given for free there’s always going to be a wave of heavy handed use. The problem is the currency will have a lot of sell pressure and over time the interest will likely fade. When people are collecting at these same levels in ETH or stablecoins, then I believe we’ve proven the concept. So let’s work towards that 💪
