Recording games from the radio? There was no such thing in Poland. :D But I'm curious to know how it was done?

On a spectrum Sinclair the games were all on cassette tape so some radio stations in the UK would broadcast the games in the early hours of the morning so you could record them. Ofc it sounded like cats screaming but when you then put that cassette in you could play the game
