I saw your posts about the conference, I would’ve loved to have been there! I think copyright is actually solved by the blockchain. There’s a proven record that I created a work if I choose to put it on-chain. All of my pieces are also registered with ASCAP, but for me having work released in web3 makes it feel permanent. As for releasing 1/1s here, I’m happy to experiment. There is (was?) @lens/lensport for the secondary market but I’m not sure it’s still active. But once an NFT is in your wallet, you can still sell it on another platform. The thing I love about collecting/releasing on Lens is that it’s its own ecosystem. Now I’m far less likely to collect a work I see on X with links to other platforms. Lens acts as a gallery and a marketplace where I can learn more about the artist, see past drops/musings, and get a complete picture of a work. We can be immersed in that artist’s world and for me that’s more valuable. I understand that high-priced works can be risky, but if the artist is consistently creating and active I think it works!
