My advice is specific to the Master Cleanse fast I am doing - here goes: The first three days are very challenging - then days 4 and 5 will just be exhausting. You will likely have odd sleep, your body will ache, your mind will be screaming at you - then on Day 6 - it's like you find a second wind - lean into that. Also listen to your body but don't let your monkey mind convince you that you are having a medical emergency without your body telling you that. The first time I did this fast my brain tried to put me in panic mode over and over. The truth is, fasting is one of the amazing things that only we human animals can do in the entire animal kingdom. No other animal will intentionally not eat when they are in good health, hungry, and food is in front of them...we really are special animals.
