The argument can definitely be made that Android largely copied iOS, even though work on it started before iOS was released. Namely, Google switched Android to using a multi-touch screen. Perhaps that is the more interesting business lesson. The latest numbers show that Apple took about 50% of revenue share from the major vendors, but the average over the past four quarters is less than half.
