Should every app has its own verification system or there should be a global across all apps using Lens? https://snapshot.org/#/orbapp.eth/proposal/0x2f2e

curious especially to hear the dev opinions
There should be a base layer of verification, then more flexible verification for apps. Like an onchain activities merit system.
I guess it depends on what the verification is for. Companies/projects should imo be able to follow a process to get a central verification sign. (Saying eg @lens/argent belongs to argent.xyz ) Having written this there are challenges involved of course. Imagine someone buys the domain argent.app and gets the verification for this domain using argentapp.lens as handle would lead to 2 verified accounts that can be mistakenly considered the builders of the wallet. 🤔 Verification is a challenging topic :-)
Depends on the app.. but social login using Lens would be great. It would add to normal web3 wallet login with Lens profile info and any verifications done by Lens. I imagine this is how it will be.. centralized/decentralized parties tying data to tokens and minting them to users' wallets. For example.. accredited investor token allows for access to certain investments, or 21+ token allows for access to alcohol websites (in US).. would be much more efficient than each app having its own verification system from scratch. Also similar but great use case for advertisers.. Stani has blue as a favorite color in Lens profile, so when Stani connects to certain digital experiences the main color is blue. Can obviously expand this beyond colors to deliver some real value...
Have their own imo with a base layer of verification by the protocol itself
What’s ‘verification system’ here?
i think using lens would be great
Unified as it should be.
