Post by @moonchik • Hey
I think one of the problems of web3 social networking is that most of the content revolves around crypto topics. It's like we're a local circle of interest
Comments
- Narrative on Lens is changing towards many crypto news and stuff, you’re right.
Luckily plenty of us are here for other reasons!!
Let’s keep going 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
- True 💚 I want to share my life
- it's kinda understandable, more people on here are from web32 communities, passionate ones. There some diverse content, but still crypto talk is all over Lens which will take some more time imo
- i'll definitely use lens for crypto tings but i'm most happy to share more personal experiences here
- I respect your point, but I can't entirely agree with it. There is actually a lot of diverse content on here that is not solely focused on crypto. While #lens revolves around crypto, as users have to use it to create profiles, at its core, they are a group of people with unique lives and interests.
@rickydata.lens, am I right? I think we could make statistics based on the words used in the posts. Count all posts that do not include mention of any crypto matters.
- well spotted, and it's only natural that it's that way, at the moment it definitely feels like we're in a bubble; but i think as we gain more adoption, it'll be less so. Crypto will instead play a supporting to all topics
- So be it for bootstrapping and the crypto community itself is huge.
But I also find a lot of other stuff like music, etc.
- more than agreed. such a feedback ➰ lens solving that a bit imo ✌🏽
- I'm getting tired of seem crypto all day on feed
- there're various post which are not really crypto-centric in Lens Protocol btw. They're heading towards this
- Lens working hard to get diverse topics content creators on here. I think we are slowly moving in the right direction. Maybe not fully there yet.
- For example, I used to #photograph different #mushrooms that popped up around my neighborhood. Then post them with that community's tag and get identifications from the experts.
- Yes, but I think we should add more bits and pieces in our lives.
- This is something that #HIVE (Steemit before hard fork) does very well. All sorts of dApps and also communities built up around different interests. I bet as more dApps are developed on @lensprotocol, this same branching will occur here.
- Exactly, people are biased
- very insightful
