- Thanks a lot!
- "What are the biggest challenges for clients to integrate open actions?"
It really is a case-by-case challenge. Since Open Actions support any call to a contract on any EVM chain, the possibilities are practically limitless. Some things, like the "Smart Tipping" action might only require a checkbox in the composer and a tip button/popup on publications, but you can imagine more complicated and unique use cases.
"Also, curious how Frame support would make Open Actions easier to use?"
Frames allows Open Actions to become mini services. For example, I'm working on a poll action using Ethereum Attestation Service for voting. It's already live on Mumbai, and a better option than the Snapshot hack that Hey and Orb currently use, but is it good enough for them to devote resources to switching? Hey is open source, so I can (and will) create a PR to add it myself, but then it's up to each client to determine if it's worth the development cost. Once Open Actions are supported in Frames, I can create a mini site (mypolls.xyz) where users can create the poll, then simply link to it in their Lens post from any composer. Any client supporting Open Actions now shows the poll and allows in-post voting, and those that don't simply link out.
