Today is Monday and, for many, that means going back to the office (with all the sedentary attitudes that come with it). If you work sitting for long periods of time (at home or in the office), don't forget to take a break every approximately 45 minutes with a set of light exercises of at least 2 minutes in duration (active break). You don't have to do them at your desk, you can do them anywhere private if shyness prevents you from doing them in public. I'll leave you some videos below to follow along and also the following tip: **`If you're too busy and can't take a break every 45 minutes, it has been shown that a 20-second break of intense exercise (such as running up stairs) every 3-4 hours has some benefits.`** The benefits of this latter strategy are less than those of the former, so it should only be used on days when nothing else can be done. And most importantly: Any frequency of exercise is better than no exercise. If you can only take one active break a day, do it!
