sounds easy ;-) I guess that's the summary of every marketplace's main challenge. (+ timing of demand and supply) I think - as you suggest pretty much all

Well just to be super clear about this, you say "marketplace" and yes that's true. But my concerns are way bigger than that: it's social networks themselves. I'm not concerned with the price of art here. To me it's obvious artists will be able to sell their work, and it's obvious the money will follow demand. I'm building that into my view of where Lens eventually ends up. When I talk about prices of art on Lens I'm trying to address those who are complaining-- it's obvious why the prices are low. People here for short term financial reasons will definitely leave disappointed. I'm worried about usage. There are many reasons to leave Instagram and publish here. Currently, though, normal people don't care about those reasons. And they won't care until there are new, compelling uses of their data and tools to create uniquely new data. **Lens' biggest new data format is "Collects" and very little is being done to exploit this. This is the potential moat but few are digging.** In 2013 Snapchat created a new format called Stories. It was incredibly compelling, millions joined the app because of it and the creation of this new type of data forced Instagram to copy the feature. Once this data format was available in IG most people stayed in IG. Here on Lens we have this new format, one which is supercharged by the fact that everyone can build on top of it rapidly. We need devs to start building this data format out -now- bc it will compel users to switch. None of the existing big players are going to implement "collects" this year, and the brand new players (Farcaster/Mastodon/Blue Sky/etc) haven't seemed to catch on to this format yet. We need devs to start exploiting Collects, it's what makes Lens unique and compelling (for now).
