3/ Products might have multiple types of target users. This is particularly true for B2B/DAO tooling. You have admins, employees, managers, contractors, and more. Each one requires a different onboarding flow to maximize success. Be intentional with each type of user.
2/ Guide users every step away until their aha moment. Until the user gets to the aha moment, make it clear to them what they should do next. Otherwise you leave it chance if a user will succeed, and decreases the success rate of your onboarding flow.
1/ Using new terminology or paradigms can be challenging. It requires you to educate users. This increases cognitive load. And typically, more cognitive load is bad in increasing onboarding completion rates. Stick to established paradigms where you can.
