What do you all think if there is ability to put context into a post? My thinking was that instead of context maybe users could vote on a post (its hidden

- What does controversial on facts even mean? A fact is a fact. If someone doesn't like it for, say, ideological reasons, then too bad. It's the reality you live in and that will never change whether you like it, or not.
What would be the benefit of voting on the post too? I mean, if a post contains facts, but a few people don't like it for, say again, ideological reasons, then what purpose does the voting serve? Is it just a way to say "I'm against thus post"? Or if a post have more than 50% of "against" is it suppressed? What is the benefit of this other than increasing tribalism?
I'm not seeing anything meaningful in the idea, but I feel that there's a lack of information. So it would be great if you could expand on it in more detail.
- not sure if (majority) vote and social media is a great fit …
in the context of web3 it could be quite interesting though and become an interesting part of „profile analysis“ (reputation, meta data, scoring, …).
🤔
-> votes can get context based on who voted. So we can end up with votes put in context :-)
sounds interesting imo.
- cool experiment.... could equally turn out to be 🔥 or 💥 !

- Something like 'Community Notes' would be great!!!

- Me parece buena idea!! Apoyo la idea Stani!!
- Context is important to avoid assumptions.
It helps in having a clear idea of what's going
- Having a LENS COMMUNITY NOTES feature is the only solution. However, before implementing it, several questions must be addressed:
* Who will be responsible for adding these community notes – anyone or a dedicated team?
* How will we handle incorrect content in the community notes itself?
* Who will verify the content – possibly a DAO? This approach may work well for a small number of users but may not be suitable when scaling the platform for millions or billions of users.
- Freedom of Speech still allowed?
If no one likes your post on how controversial it is, let them stick to the Comment Section, you don't need to vote against it or add a dislike button
- Is it broken? Posting I mean? Don’t understand use case for voting.
- Voting would be great but not for all post especially post on community need to be voted.
- voting would be cool
- When will you start third part of distribution lens invite?
- Too subjective…. That could work for Community posts (like in a Devs Community you ain’t gonna post your grandma scramble eggs recipe) to filter what matters…
…but on open Lens I think doesn’t make sense.
- like the idea
- This sounds like Community Notes on X which I'm a huge fan of. It works really well, and the whole system and formulas are open source. (I'm a community notes contributor on X)
I think a decentralized system like that would be very valuable, and having it built into the base protocol and apis would make it even better.
