Been thinking about this a lot. I actually don't mind an eye scanner. If you can eventually build one of these orbs with a Raspberry Pi and open source parts, running a fully open source stack, and can verify yourself onchain, I believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. They still have to deliver on fully open sourcing, but I'm hopeful. So many things are unlocked by decentralized PoP, if they don't get there I believe someone else will.
