Post by @christina • Hey
A few questions;
- how many of you use multiple lens apps and why?
- do you have a content preference - visual vs text vs music here on Lens? Or does it
Comments
- Gm, Christina!
I've used several lens apps, but mostly I use @orbapp.lens , @buttrfly.lens on mobile and @lenster.lens on laptop. Other apps include: @phaver.lens , @converseapp.lens , @diversehq.lens , @ensocollective.lens , @lensport.lens , @chromadin.lens , @kaira.lens and maybe few more that i've used once or twice.
I mostly consume visual content, rarely read long texts. Yes it's app dependent, ie I do paid collects on Lenster, comment on Orb, post videos on Buttrfly.
I post+consume
Yes i would refer someone who is familiar with crypto and creative, so that it'd be beneficial for the person to post their content on a Web3 platform & ofc for the good vibe too! 💚
- (1) most frequently @buttrfly.lens @orbapp.lens and @lenster.lens (laptop). Both mobile apps are amazing with slightly different strength imo - and I use different setups regarding notifications.
Use case driven @diversehq.lens @lensport.lens @pinsta.lens @collectz.lens @memester.lens-xyz @thegallerydao.lens @lenstaxyz.lens @postter.lens @lensdropxyz.lens @beatsapp.lens and @chainjet.lens and @converseapp.lens of course.
+ I 🤍the lens integrations snapshot, @thefriendly.lens , @oohlala.lens
(2) no :-) I’m not super into video that’s why I don’t use @lenstubelogs.lens a lot although it’s amazing. (I learned to add a visual component to text posts :-))
(3) both. 🤍discussions / comments and commenting
(4) yes and no. People active in web3 definitely. Web0-2 users no.
- I use very often @orbapp.lens and @buttrfly.lens. I think the content I consume depends on which app I'm in. On desktop @lenstube.lens and @lenster.lens. And for minting my music I love @beatsapp.lens.
- 99% of the time I only use Orb. Its has all the Lens features and works without fault. I use Lenster on desktop sometimes, but it often gives me errors for random things.
I'm into mostly visual content & audio content.
Post & consume
I would refer people who I think would like lens by uploading their own art because it would be fun and hopefully beneficial to them.
- Orb and Butterfly mostly, Lenster if I’m on desktop. I prefer text content because I can consume it wherever i am regardless of my surroundings, video content if I can watch on mute (I know, I’m weird). I also post, from time to time, to share my thoughts.
Re: referring people to lens YES ofc. The future is bright for web3 social. There’s some noise here…but there’s also a great community of interesting and engaging creators, thinkers, builders.
- I use ORB, lenster, and lenstube due to the flexibility.
ORB when I am out, engaging via my smartphone is so much easier.
Lenster and lenstube when I am home using desktop to edit images and videos then upload.
- - Buttrfly because it's simply brilliant. (paid) collects work smoothly, view of my collects is beautiful. Lenster if I have to. niche apps like Chromadin, Collectz, and DiverseHQ are interesting as well but I don't use them often
- text
- no visual or audio content
- yes, but difficult who would fit
- I use multiple because each is lacking a feature that I feel I need at particular moments throughout the day
- Who wants to post via @tahakhak or @diversehq.lens ?
Most of the users still don't know about Lens Community...
- I use primarily phaver and Lenster when I am on my laptop. I have problems with the other apps because I never menage to connect wallet so I don't know really what goes on. I am a visual as uoi may know and I actively post but I also consume content. Lens is the future as you know Alice Bella. Ownership and decentralisation are in my opinion too important especially for younger generations
- Gm!☀️ I use Buttrfly and lenster in mobile. I never can connect on orb. I’m newer in that space and i’m love lenster and their community ❤️ I prefer txt content.
- Great questions!
- I mainly use @buttrfly.lens for my main account (this one 😅) and @orbapp.lens for a secondary one where I test stuff.
- I'm more a text / visual guy. But I think there's a place for all kind of a content and moreover would find that awesome if we would have decentralized places to listen to great music and watch video/movies/tv shows (yes, one day!)
- I mainly consume content but definitely need to step up and post has well.
- I would refer people interested by decentralization and a bit by web3, because the onboarding is still complex (compared to Twitter or more recently, Threads).
- Multiple
Preferences depend on video for LensTube or text for other apps (Orb,Buttrfly,Lenster{desktop})
Post and consume.
Yes. Fabulously believe in decentralized apps.
- I only use Lenster and tbh I find it quite stagnant here...whether or not it's true, it *feels* like most Lens users are either inactive or squatting on account names. Not really sure why - maybe the beta is a lot more closed that I thought it was?
- - Been using Phaver since last year as a non-lens user. Have started to use Lenster now that I have got the handle.
- I like the visual as well as text content. I love to write, so that's why I can read and give time to long text posts as well.
- I post content regularly but also like to consume.
- I'd definitely refer my close friends from Twitter and Discord to Lens. There are still many who don't know what Lens is and I'd love to show them around 🌿
- Mainly use @orbapp.lens and @lenster.lens. But also @buttrfly.lens with some @wav3s.lens .
I like text content with some pictures.
Need to post more for sure.
Would refer a friend 👍
- I use only @lenster.lens so far. My preference is text and video content. I don't like audio too much (podcasts and such) because it transfers the info very slowly.
Yes, I've invited @flummox.lens to the Lens :)
- For content and media i've mostly used @pinsta.lens @buttrfly.lens @phaver.lens @orbapp.lens and @diversehq.lens which i found quite convenient and easy to learn how to use it
@lensplayxyz.lens and @lenstube.lens is where i sharing video and music, which these i've been using them recently
- I do both, I consume and post content.
I like to use @orbapp.lens and @buttrfly.lens with same account to get a different content feed
- @orbapp.lens , @lenster.lens , @lensport.lens , @collectz.lens for a broader UX.
It definitely depends. Which is why @chromadin.lens and @dumpling.lens are such interesting projects to me. Even though I still don't really understand how to use either. 😅
Both!
Yes, I shill it in rl and on ct. We’re either in or approaching L2 summer and Lens is going to be close to the heart of it. It’s fun to watch everyone build and share.
- 99% of the time I only use Orb. Its has all the Lens features and works without fault. I use Lenster on desktop sometimes, but it often gives me errors for random things.
I'm into mostly visual content & audio content.
- i use lenster, phaver and lenstube.
- I use phaver and orb most times
Cause they're super user friendly 💜💜
- I use Phaver, Buttrfly, Lenster.
