Here's my workaround... Don't let the wall of text scare you, this is the price of being early. How I setup @orbapp.lens - Create a new MetaMask wallet account - Export the private key - Import the private key into your mobile wallet of choice (i.e Rainbow/Mathwallet) - Login to ENS dapp with hardware wallet and set the ETH address on your preferred .eth name to the new mobile wallet address. - Login to ENS dapp with mobile wallet and set the ens primary name to the .eth name in the previous step. - Send your .lens profile to the new mobile wallet address (make sure your on Polygon) - Download Orb and log in with the mobile wallet - Name the new MetaMask account on your desktop with your .lens name, so now you can still log in on desktop too - Now you can easily log in to other mobile apps like @Buttrfly or @Phaver. Sidenotes: - Be mindful of what you sign because now your .lens profile is in a hot wallet - You're still able to protect your ENS with a hardware wallet, but until profile delegation ( @davidev.lens ) gets released this was the best way I could think of doing it. - I suggest enabling the dispatcher and DMs on Lenster before starting the process.
I think Lenster's probably going to add that eventually. For now though you can stay signed into mainnet on @lensport.lens It has the social features of Lenster + a marketplace for collects + social statistics
I understand that your profile is connected to the wallet address that is holding lens profile NFT, so if you want to use different wallet just transfer the profile NFT and setup dispatcher there.
@dcinvestor.lens you can install Tally Ho (and import the keys to the same wallet) then leave MetaMask on Polygon always and use Tally Ho for signing transactions on every dApp that supports it (many do). Can’t do the inverse at the moment because @lenster.lens doesn’t support Tally Ho natively
Here's how I did it: Installed Coinbase Wallet chrome extension. Put my Metamask seed phrase into it, so both Metamask and Coinbase are on the same exact wallet. Coinbase stays on Polygon and handles everything Lens for me.
I just saw a recommendation to use mobile apps like https://lenster.xyz/u/buttrfly. Should be an easier way to stay logged in as the app itself won't be toggling like a browser extension.
You can't do that in Lenster right now and yeah it's annoying if you constantly switch networks. Have you tried any of the mobile apps for Lens? The UX is much better. I'm building @buttrfly.lens for iOS if you'd like to try it out. Let me know if you have any feedback!
