It’s true. This has been an ongoing issue that has only recently become more of a problem. I can’t see any of my @lens/lens NFTs in any of my wallets. I no

- Thank you so much for your input, James! I genuinely appreciate the time you've taken to share your thoughts. After considering your feedback, along with insights from Carsten and my own research, it seems that proceeding with my initial vision for this first drop isn't practical at the moment. I'll explore other avenues to harness the power and beauty of Lens
However, I believe it's crucial to address this aspect. imo, I'm not the first, nor will I be the last, to envision creating a collection within Lens or integrating collectibles into wallets and collections. I'm confident that with time, we'll see advancements in this area as well
Once again, thank you for your invaluable information!
Your insights have proven to be really valuable. Thank you!🌹
- These are really valuable insights @lens/eduardmsmr @lens/jamesfinnerty
@lens/punkess shared this concern as well in an LIP (https://github.com/lens-protocol/LIPs/pull/44)
Lens has the potential to be a powerful distribution layer for content by allowing mirrors, frontends, algorithms, etc. to have monetization built-in. With Lens collects, it’s important that the content is formatted properly so it can be universally displayed and interacted with.
In my opinion I think there are 3 ways to improve content distribution on Lens:
1.) Improve Lens collect metadata. This is the area that I’m least familiar with so I’d defer to @lens/wagmi @lens/cesare to give more insights into how this could be improved at the app and protocol level based on the feedback from James, Alice, and others.
2.) Create better tools to view and interact with Lens collects on a secondary markets. There is a lot of potential to integrate secondary markets for collectd directly into Lens feeds and I believe @lens/ipaulpro is working on a module related to this.
3.) Allow minting and purchasing NFTs from other collections (including on other chains) directly from Lens feed. This is something I’m personally working on and I just recently posted GitHub links of the work in progress.
Overall I think it’s great to have these discussions in public so creators and devs can bounce ideas off each other.
