I understand your “collectible for artist profit” So this song you can collect on lens currently from me. However you can listen to free as many times as you want on Oohlala. It shows the plays from said app but not who is playing the song. The middle ground may not be the same is what I’m saying. It will be hard to tell artist “I know you barely are getting paid from streams but now you won’t at all but you can sell the song as it’s it’s iTunes but you get all the money and know who buys the song in replacement of the streams” I’m drawn to lens without music in mind. As a musician having to build an audience from scratch in sometimes 7 different places at the same time creates the draw for decentralized social. From a pure metadata standpoint web3 helps for sure. But a lot of almost all except for @lens/decentdotxyz has failed in capturing all the correct metadata needed.
