Post by @carlosbeltran • Hey
so about last night…
to be clear, this was NOT an airdrop, simply a gift that we had planned for weeks. the snapshot for it was taken on march 22 UTC-5.
Comments
- *the snapshot was taken around 3/22 12:01pm UTC-5
- Mate you have given people free money revived Lens fervor and created a token that hasn’t rugged. Give yourself a hug and don’t let this get you down. No need to apologize of course you can get feedback but it’s your project and you’ve already been more than generous. The fact that you also are showing so transparently what happened and can track if for every user is something that should be applauded!
- Thanks for the clarification, definitely we are all learning in the process
- Fair enough! You didn’t fuck up.
Maybe be more precise with describing what’s going to happen?
You changing people’s loves for the good!
Thanks to @bonsai we have new iPad for instance
- Ahh. I did sell a bit to go and do something dumb lol. So that’s why. All good. Thanks for explaining to the community.
- Please keep building. The more you build the more people will agree and disagree but stick to your mission and the pieces will come together.
- Love the strict requirements.
I'm sure it's has also been a learning curve for everyone and I'm personally looking forward to more growth in the ecosystem.
- It fair enough. Next round just fix the trading 😉
- For me personally you didn't mess up. Was fair.
- I wasn't eligible for round 2 but absolutely fine with the criteria.
- Nothing to worry about just keep building guys, I'm enjoying my time here!
- wat you’re doing is awesome! Tysm guys 😭🍟
- @lens/carlosbeltran, thanks for the clarifications! I received the first airdrop but nothing in this gift.
I understand that given the criteria I don’t apply for having sold a small portion of the airdrop #1 and it is fine if you decided that criteria, beyond that I think I meet all the conditions of an early adopter of $BONSAI, are the criteria they chose and that's it.
I haven't complained anywhere about not receiving the gift and to be honest I get a bit annoyed by people complaining. The criteria are always arbitrary, that's a fact, but you have no obligation to give anything away and yet you decided to give a gift and I think that's great.
Success in everything to come! Try it, make mistakes, but always keep building! That’s part of the process 😉
- To be honest, they are doing quite well and you can always feel the good intention behind supporting artists and content creators in general.
Thank you for everything.
- Clarity is always appreciated.
- March 22 I see why I missed 🐱
I won't miss the next one 😎💪
- A great incentive! Im dutch so I hope im writing it correctly.
- That's great 🙌
- Makes sense. Just a short time frame for sure 18 days at most. Which meant not only did someone have to receive the airdrop they had to like something enough to collect it (some people don’t just collect for collect sake).
Also kinda telling creators they HAVE to collect. And saying people that hold aren’t as valuable to the ecosystem if they are participating in ways that aren’t monetarily relevant.
Either way it’s all free money. And you guys went with what you deemed suitable and stood by that and no one can argue with that.
- I paid the price of trading with $bonsai 🤣
just keep going, you brougth new life to the garden
- Please keep building. The more you build the more people will agree and disagree but stick to your mission and the pieces will come together.
- Cool @lens/carlosbeltran ! For me, the criteria are solid and valid. My only observation is in relation to those who "received tokens in airdrop#1 and sold tokens"... in this case the criterion, which from my point of view would be fairer, is the balance in the wallet and not the fact of having sold or not . So, if someone won 10 $bonsai in airdrop #1 and received more tokens with collectibles or simply bought more tokens, but in the end still maintains a balance equal to or greater than airdrop #1, that person would be eligible for airdrop #2 , even if during that period the person sold some tokens. :)
After all, if I remember correctly, the criteria for future airdrops that were previously announced only mentioned participating in the LP or collecting items with $bonsai, but my memory is not reliable.
Anyway, it is undeniable to say that the project is very cool and important. Just keep going!
- If the criteria were decided weeks ago, what was the point in these posts? They led us to believe minting them would make us eligible, when in fact the snapshot had already been taken. So it's hard not to see them as engagement-farming cash grabs.
P.S. I'm only taking the time to give this feedback because I believe in both Orb and Bonsai and I want to see you succeed.

- @lens/carlosbeltran criteria shouldn't be rigid like who sold it before snapshot day.
Rather make it an easy criteria like who sold on first day Or have not used bonsai in lensprotocol etc.
You know well we are here from first day without any incentives rather we have spent on collect, engage.
I believe future benefits will be looked with care attention for early user of @lens/madfinance Or @lens/lens
- Bonsai has been making significant progress in terms of its dollar value, funding, and use cases. However, there are some concerns about the second criterion. Whenever someone transacts using Bonsai, it means that there is a new member who previously held other types of coins and is now holding Bonsai, which could potentially be a large amount. It is important not to discriminate against traders, even though the aim is to encourage people to use the dropped Bonsai for engaging others. These two activities should not be considered mutually exclusive.
- The single sell I've made with $Bonsai is test - to help user understand, that Bonsai is tradable. And seems disqualified.

- Open sourcing the criteria is a great step. Also, selling bonsai but not spending it to support creators is questionable, unless they sell it as a whole :0
Still thinking around this point!
- But sad to know that not included because I tried to scalp some of bonsai during dips.
Collect and post are one of my best choice in lens. Sad not included during this.
Lets have fun next time
- I did collected and tips and did not received airdrop 🥲
- no problem sir, just keep growing $BONSAI
- Fair enough! You didn’t fuck up.
Maybe be more precise with describing what’s going to happen?
You changing people’s loves for the good!
Thanks to @bonsai we have new iPad for instance
- So is that mean the gift drop out accidentally and to be continued?
- I have been posting but still was not eligible 😕
- it's fine sir. i think for future incentives, you can just drop the sell criteria. as long as they are supporting the ecosystem imo is enough
- I didn’t sell it and still I’m out 😞
- Could you please enlighten us on tokenomics? How much % to investors? What vesting period? Unlock schedule?
Very important for transparency IMHO.
- thanks for the transparency boss 👍🏼
- Thank for clarification sir
- Where check this?
- can you check mine? used lens since some time and mimted that post yesterday 🙏🏻
- Okay we good i think
- I thought you had a system like $degen.
- Thanks for explaining 🙂
- Nope.
- how to check yourself?
