Agreed products and chains should choose metrics from first principles than by anology. And those metrics should indicate the value that’s provided. Speed is great on ETH but it feels like quality and signal are currently it’s greatest benefits.

If we want worldwide adoption and a decentralized alternative to TradFi, TPS matters. I agree that the value transacted is very important, but we need people wanting to use the blockchain because it’s an all-around better choice than their centralized counterpart (speed, value, decentralization etc)
