Never forget: the News Feed is a product. Its purpose is to generate more views. Every major platform has copied the format but it's not required nor inev

- So much of this potential app could be focused on collecting and showcasing collections too. Imagine loading your friend's profile, you see their collections of art or music or whatever they want to showcase on their wall....and then you have the option to gift them the perfect photo that compliments their collection.
User Showcases & Gift Collections on profiles would be a really fun way to use Collects/NFTs.
Just sayin'
- Great idea. The news feeds of web2 suck. I’d take thoughtful intent over mindless scrolling any day.
- I agree with your view. Due to the different uses and possibilities of the protocol, a modular app would be perfect, as the combinations are almost endless to filter content, especially when the user base is larger. I could have the most mirrored posts from Lenster, every share from a user I consider a content curator, the latest items traded on Lensport, the latest 3D art from Collectz, etc... and when that becomes irrelevant, I can go to the newsfeed and add more modules of interest :)
- Yeah, I find this an interesting concept
- Interesting hmmm🤔
- I like this idea
- realized that I would actually use a more user focused app.
the last couple of weeks I wasn't very active on Lens. basically, I had a look at a handful of profiles and see what those people were posting or commenting on.
@buttrfly.lens offers a decent way with user notifications. have to play with it a little bit more, sometimes the settings seem to be forgotten. also have to fine tune it (users, kind of interaction I want to be notified of).
- I think this is a very good angle analysis question
- agree with your view
- I loved MySpace but I also fund value in the News section after all social media has become the place News is breaking. Maybe a hybrid approach. At this point honestly I just wanna see posts from everyone I follow. I followed them for a reason let me interact.
