in the unlikely event that this should happen, the bridges still exist, and if the mainnet problems are solved, the token bridge remains inoperative on L2
It's precisely L2s who benefit the most from sharing. Ethereum's own vision is to scale through L2s so they will always be necessary. Ethereum's native scalability doesn't cut it for high frequency on-chain activities like social media, gaming or HFT
