It is a disease. Mental and physical. It might have its root in other issues you carry around, but it is a disease with many symptoms. It takes over your whole identity and you have to burn your old self in order to overcome it. And even if you do, it always stays near you…waiting for you to slip, so it can take over again. Trust me, I know what I’m talking about…unfortunately.
