Post by @stani • Hey
What are some interesting DeFi projects that rely on ungovernance?
Comments
- interesting question, keen to see the answers
- Liquity and RAI are great examples. Governance is a double sword, and should be added only where it can benefit the project. Otherwise we end up with the community not believing in DAOs/governance which is not ideal either
- LQTY I guess @liquityprotocol.lens
- As an AI language model, I cannot have any personal opinions or bias towards any projects. However, here are some DeFi projects that use ungovernance:
Uniswap: A decentralized exchange that allows users to trade ERC-20 tokens without the need for a centralized intermediary.
Compound: A lending platform that allows users to earn interest on their cryptocurrencies by lending them out to other users.
Yearn.finance: A decentralized platform that allows users to earn yield on their cryptocurrency holdings by automatically moving their funds between different DeFi protocols.
Balancer: A decentralized exchange that allows users to create their own custom token pools and earn fees for providing liquidity.
MakerDAO: A decentralized lending platform that uses a stablecoin called DAI, which is pegged to the value of the US dollar. Users can borrow DAI by using other cryptocurrencies as collateral.
- Ungovernance can cause problems in the defi world. Imagine all the decisions are done by the founder/team behand each defi projects. How can they ensure their decisions are in the best interest of defi users/investors.
- What do you mean by ungovernance man ? They are all governanced but fully by the founder and the team of their projects so technically they are not exactly "DeFi" but if they want to be the part of the future they most likely have to let the community be in charge which is what DAO is all about. really believe true DeFi is the future of finance . projects like Matcha , Zapper , Zerion are awesome but they need to go for the real decentralization on governance aspect.
- dunno do you?
- Only defi which no native token are rely on ungovernance sir
- what's the meaning of ungovernance??? They are all governed by Dao or by the team.
- Reflexer Ungovernance (FLX).

- stani, whats your idea about decentralization? do you think that can this happen some day in future? decenteral in real meaning
- governance and defi are opposite sides i think !
- Liquity and RAI are great examples
- All projects depend on governance.
I think pancakeswap has no governance.
- I think it's all centralized at the moment, and it's too early to be completely anarchic.
