happy Sunday 🌧️
it’s a great, rainy Sunday here. I’m experimenting with chatGPT 3.5, 4.0, google bard, Claude and atlas copilot (thanks @defidad.lens )).

- I was using Replit's copilot and liked it but found they weren't the right solution for me. Maybe I wasn't technical enough but I had difficulties running projects on their servers. I've switched to Visual Studio Code w/the full copilot, I think it's $20 per user per month. It's good, very similar to chatgpt but I was disappointed in its scope. I assumed it would know everything about my project and the dependencies and everything else on screen or in the file system--it does not. But it's really nice to autocomplete things, or fix/explain entire blocks of code. I don't know yet if I'm going to cancel it or not. I also ran into censorship a few times where it thought I was asking a non-dev question when I absolutely was. Strange.
ChatGPT 4 w/Code Interpreter lets you upload an entire zip of a project and it will understand everything. I've found that to be my best solution for "I want to do this, how do i do it?" with or without knowledge of my project.
Also this past week my one friend has dragged me and 2 others into DND for our first time ever. Our DM is the only one who knows the game, but we are all heavily relying on ChatGPT. And it is absolutely the most fun ever. I set up my iPad to record audio (which is about 3 hours per game). I put the audio into Descript, it detects the voices and I name them. Then I put the transcript into ChatGPT and it understands there's 4 people playing DND via Zoom, it understands everything about our game and creates all kinds of fun recaps and cheat sheets for us. I've created long and short versions of our story so far, what possible missions are next, the status of each player, etc and I've been putting them into ElevenLabs so that we have basically a podcast to listen to. Absolutely wild how much fun we're having with DND (a game I don't really care about) because of AI. I think the DM is getting the MOST enjoyment out of it too, he can focus on the gameplay and creativity rather than trying to remember every little detail.
- ChatGPT4 with & w/o plug-ins & code interpreter, AIPRM chrome plugin for prompts, GitHub Copilot with the CodeGenie plugin allows me to fix bugs, comment code, optimize code, complete code, & a ad-hoc prompt menu for those times when I want to input some crazy idea.
This setup covers basically 90% of my needs on a dev and general knowledge basis.
- What do you think of Claude? It's free to use, right? Is it as good as chatGPT?
- Happy Sunday @punkess.lens :) 🥂
- In FriesGPT i trust. Always and forever 🙈🍟🤭
- Disappointed this isn't a thread 😧🤦♂️
- So Bard already enabled for Europe?
Nice. Will play around with it next week
- my favorite AI chat solution would be OpenAI's GPT-3.5. It has proven to be versatile in generating human-like responses and assisting users in various 🤭
