Should transgender men be able to compete in women's sports? π
Comments
- The women in sports should be asked this question, and I won't be surprised if the majority say no.
- NOPE. I'm comfortable with the distinction that gender is a social construct. It's a new concept and not of my generation but i can adapt to that np. But that's stepping into biology and it's pretty clear it all breaks down at that level. Just combat sports alone. Pretty damn sure any pro female mma fighter would absolutely body me. But your average male born athlete destroys the average female born one π€·ββοΈ . Damn lens just got political. Also I think it's transgender WOMEN you mean. Transgender men are born women, or at least that's what i think are the rules.
- ππ if they identify as women probably yes
- Of course not lol men have denser bones, bigger muscles, taller, different bone shape, bigger hearts, bigger lungs, way more testosterone, less fat tissue, higher rate of hypertrophy etc etc. Totally unfair to any woman who has trained her whole life to achieve her dreams. If you could make them equal somehow then it'd be fine, but you just can't. You can't beat nature. You are what you are.
- What about deleting genres and just doing the competition? Then we wonβt focus on the ethic polemic but on the sport (which is what it really matters, right?)
- No. Different category if they want.
- Has any transgender women excelled in physically intensive men's sports like soccer, rugby, football?
- Never ever. That should be a no-Brainer.
- Women should do women sports and men do men sports. There are only 2 genders; men and women
- Naaa, they should create a category for transgenders
- Big no
- ngl this is one of the toughest question i've ever encountered
- They should have their own league.
- Short (and permanent) answer: No.
Itβs unfair to the other drug-free participants.
- No. Men are genetically much faster and stronger. An average professional male athlete can decide to identify as a women and go dominate that sport in women's division. Honestly, surprised this is even question in our society.
- No it's not fair to female athletes
- Nope
- Yes but then robots should also be allowed
- harsh but they should not be able to.
- Lmao...
- No
- of course no that's cheating
- Touched my blind spot of knowledge
