Despite your name (😉), I actually looked into it after commenting and learned it's not currently decentralized, not open source, there's no end-to-end encryption, and it looks like the only part of the protocol that currently uses blockchain or cryptography are the usernames. Decentralization as a goal is easy, but unfortunately very few actually get there. Hopefully Console is eventually one of the exceptions!
