- more liquidity has entered the system (increased m2 supply) causing an overall rise in asset prices. majors go up a normal amount and people start looking for the higher beta - if eth goes up 10%, these smaller cap coins can go up 50% with proportional buying. everyone runs out to look for "the next shib" or the "the next pepe" since there's always something silly that flys off the handle for no reason. pumping meme coins is also more fun since all you need is memes

- When the bull market begins, fear and greed index goes up. Means that people want to buy crypto. When new joiners sign up on market places there are hundreds of coins to pick, they simply don't know which one to buy, but want to be part of "Quick gain game" and became a millionaires.
So what unexperienced investors do? They go to social media and search for "best crypto coins", the search results would show them posts which are viral. What could be more viral than memes those days? :)
More people buy memes, price goes up, more people write about meme coins and this loop continues, until bear market begins and people realise meme coin wasn't a good investment... until the next bull market, haha!
