I feel like there is a lot of demand for a good music app on Lens. Needs to introduce some kind of novelty regarding discovery and pricing for the music.

- Riff app was a great start almost a year ago.
Lens Protocol definitely has everything to become a Web3 Music Major Platform.
A lot of lessons to be learned from already stablished ones, pretty sure soon we will have a breakthrough in the garden.🌿
- Absolutely. You know my thoughts on this. I’d add that the app would benefit if designed by devs and music producers in tandem.
Music metadata standards should be integrated. Say I want to search for music on the app by mood, genre, composer, tempo, etc. Music files (when properly mastered/ encoded) have this metadata embedded directly in the file. Apps should be using this for discovery.
- 1000000%
combo of curation + genre spotlights / alongside straightfwd charts + latest releases feed
Visually, w skins a la what @lens/tamrat is making 🤞
- If only I had the patience to learn to code
- ++
i have an idea that im excited about so i will share here for feedback. Within Ovi, what if any lens user can start a token gated channel where they curate their music selections. And that channel exists in 3D/VR space with avatars sort of like a listening party inside a lounge. aka Music discovery in a social setting. It can also be an event to drop your new music with selected super fans where you can earn a first listener poap...
will work on this once I release the current version of Ovi with skins :)
- Had a thought that one might exist where each song comes with a story from the artist about its significance / meaning to them
Some level of voting on a smaller beta style group, the way tik tok sends a song to a small audience first, before the combo is then fed to a wider audience
Perhaps more constraints incentivising only the highest possible quality and storytelling, rather than the ai infused quantity game that’s played on Spotify et al increasingly
- We need it so bad Stani!
I wish I knew how to code.
