No, it's a game! There are a lot of pfp NFT projects whitelisted to be used as an avatar (I use my Forgotten Runes wizard) and you can build your island. You can shape the terrain and also add 3D NFTs (most artists use Blender) and add funny games for people to play on your island. I was really skeptical about crypto games but this one impressed me, and i would love to collaborate with 3d artists on it! https://niftyisland.com/
