Hey really awesome post! 🤩 I love these psychological things 🫶🏼 I think this is something that is really different for each person, some people prioritize their thoughts and some people prioritize their feelings. I don't think there's one right answer to that, I think you have to think and plan and aim for goals when you need to, and when you need to, you have to go for what feels right. I'm a crazy person who usually doesn't make very long term plans, follows my feelings but sticks to my long term goals 😂
I think true self-discipline shows itself in the absence of the „motivation feeling“ you mention. Because motivation can be temporary and there are times when you do not feel like doing it at all. When you manage to still execute at that times, that true self-discipline. Having the right mindset and a vision is a great help though. I often try to visualize how it would feel like to achieve a specific goal and that reminds me of the porpoise.
