Honestly I think we should not have a preferred front end. That is promise of permissionless no?

I do want full permissionlessness but also, apps need to have proper measures for mitigating bots. I think maybe all front ends could deploy different systems of deploying spam that feeds to a middle layer reputation system on top of big query that other apps can chose to use the data from at different weightings. That’s another way. I don’t think every front end will go full permissionless on day 1 I think we will see some do it and the rest be forced by game theory to have their permissionless strategy.
I do agree there shouldn’t be one permissionless app btw sorry I don’t pay attention that much wen I post on the go lmao. But, I do think it would be unwise for every app to go permissionless without a plan in place to make the algorithm of users enjoyable.
Depends on the front end tbh. I was low key just suggesting phaver bc they already do it. But multiple probably is best. I think they could all do it with strict algorithms, so even if there is a huge bot inflow. It doesn’t affect users with properly curated social graphs. If that doesn’t occur though, I am still concerned about a general swarm of botted behavior ruining the UX. Like if you go to phaver and filter by none/latest it’s pretty bad, which is what I’m concerned for apps that haven’t had to deal with the bots yet due to gating. But if you filter by my follows or in my opinion my folllows + n degrees of separation permissionless would be achievable without killing the UX.
