Good thoughts @lens/yeast I belive that creators/users are the platform. They should own what they capture and create. However, they would still need distribution, so even when their own networks are commoditized (users own their audience) they would still need discovery, and thats more about experiences and algoritms. An outside of the box idea. What if creators pay for algos and "earn" distribution and new audiences, which brings them more monetization. The key difference here compared to web2 is that, even if you would pay for good discovery, you are not owning what you will receive, everything is indirect (followers and monetization, all tied to the platform). Feels like a healthy circular monetization economy.
